Has the groomer been out today? With this cold and lots of snow, there is no reason for not having good smooth trails all this week Looking forward to getting my trail permit monies worth.

just wondering why mud lake trail is closed still? sleds have been going across the ice there for the last 2 weeks, the trail is rough due to not being groomed but there is lots of ice. even if the groomer turns around before the ice to smooth out the ruts that all the traffic has caused..anyone know if it will be opened up soon?

Closing trails would be a shame, but sometimes sacrifices have to be made if there are too many kilometers to look after. There is a limit to how kilometers of trail can be looked after with a small volunteer base and stay within the OFSC guide lines. This would allow more time to groom the rail line which needs many days to complete each time the wind blows. Hope everything works out for the best.

i hope your joking about cutting half the trails out, every other club seems to manage and orangeville trails arent the worst. leave things as they are, i dont know how many groomer operators there are or and how many hours a week they put in but no matter how often the trails are groomed people will always want them smoother. i think you should just make a rule about no complaining in the quest book from now on.

Lots of discussion on grooming. Well I have a solution that I will bring to the next club meeting.
I will recomend we cut half our trails out. Shut them down.
We can move the B109 and with only 80 Km of trail it will be posible to sign properly and keep groomed to a standard everyone will be happy with.
If you are not at the meeting, don't complain that the trail you ride is gone.
The next meeting is 8 PM Larry's on March 20th
